ART, NATURE AND ANIMAL SPIRIT

CREATE, CREATE, CREATE AND EXPAND THE SOUL

WHAT HAVE I DISCOVERED AS A CREATOR IN MORE THAN A DECADE?

The four things I have experienced as a creator and would love for everyone to experience. It has come from observing people's experiences. I'll leave you with the conclusion at the end:

1️⃣ Strength: Many people who have my animal paintings have told me that they usually put them in the hall. Why? Before they go out, they look at them and -according to them- the animals look back at them and give them energy to face the day.

2️⃣ Healing: A couple of psychologists told me that they used my works in their therapies. Patients looked at the paintings while they were guiding their minds. What struck me most is that some people have written to me to thank me for helping them overcome depression. With the act of looking (along with their strength and the work of those who accompanied them)

3️⃣ Peace: Several health workers have used my paintings to decorate waiting rooms and relax patients.

4️⃣ Gratitude from the heart: a mother commissioned the painting “Heart Tree” to give as a thank you to the team of cardiologists who saved her son’s life in a delicate operation (I’m writing this and I have goosebumps)

Until now (August 2024), I didn’t really understand my creation. What did these people see that I didn’t? What was I missing? Something must separate the shapes, the beauty, the image… from curing depression. I just understood it now. Behind the paintings there is an emotion, a story that they managed to see, which is very subtle.

An example: I always start to draw from below, usually with fear and with hesitant lines full of anxiety, that line discharges energy onto the next one, which is already firm and relaxed… until it reaches the top, where everything is fire and energy. I hadn’t understood it until now and after a decade, I just understood why I make art, who I am and for whom:

I make art to unite and inspire people, to create bonds with themselves and with Nature, to create beautiful emotions. Because change starts with oneself and from one's home.

And if we have built this in a decade, what couldn't we all do in a lifetime?
